Waste water and bio sludge treatment system

The international focus on discharging waste water in coastal waters is increasing. New standards for discharge and various regulations are driving the cruise industry to process all waste water onboard. To meet new demands and future requirements. Together with Scanship from Norway we have integrated the compact Pieralisi decanter in a complete waste water system for the treatment of 100 % of the waste water. This system is the most compact solution available in the market, which is designed to treat all types of maritime waste water. Thus managing the rapid and significant load variations. The system reduces the need of large holding capacity onboard and increases the operational flexibility. And in many cases this system eliminates in-port discharge fees.

The bio sludge that is send to the Pieralisi decanter contains sludge from the waste water and sludge from the food waste processing. After the volume reduction by the Pieralisi decanter the thickened sludge is send for incineration on board of the cruise vessel. The reject water coming from the decanter is treated in the waste water system to process clear bacterial free reject water approved for disposal.

The whole system is type approved and complies with the IMO-MARPOL pollution regulations.
