QEM control box

The QEM control is an electronic RPM counter, to meet with the elevated control and safety standards set by Pieralisi.

Even in the standard machine with fixed differential speed the QEM 207 series is used.

This QEM 207 control carries out the following functions:

Control of bowl plugging during start up and rpm decrease;
Providing the "ready to run" signals for the feed pump and other auxiliary equipment, when the machine is on speed;
Providing a "shut down" signal for the feed pump and other auxiliary equipment in case of a speed or differential speed problem of the decanter.

A QEM 548 controller is provided if the decanter centrifuge is equipped with a second motor or a Roto-Variator for the regulation of the differential speed between the scroll and the bowl.

The QEM 548 control has all functions of the 207 series. In addition it allows torque and current readings and has a very sophisticated automatic regulation of the differential speed. This automatic regulation system reacts on changes of the influent and will adapt its differential speed (torque) to the new circumstances. This will achieve the maximum throughput with the highest dry solid percentages of the sediment.
