Pieralisi selected the Siemens PLC for their PLC control panels: a Siemens S7-300 PLC and a Human Machine Interface (touch panel).
With one touch screen, this Pieralisi PLC control panel gives our customers full automatic control over their decanter centrifuge and its peripheral equipments such as flow meters, pumps, scroll conveyors and polymer stations. Basic operation functions are easy accessible, malfunctions will be indicated on the display and a guidance will show up to take the necessary actions if deviations of the standard process occurs.
The PLC control can easy communicate with other (DCS) systems through an industrial bus system like Ethernet, Profibus and also long distance service to control the machine performance or to update the software is possible by use of on-line modem connections.
Client specific requirements can be integrated very easily in the PLC functionality and an easy integration of different systems is possible by the industrial couplings. Also other PLC brands can be selected on customer request.
